Services - Literacy Support
Literacy Support is a specialist service which aims to provide individuals with the practical support and assistance with literacy skills. The approach taken centres on the individual and assessing the practical levels of literacy and numeracy skills that are required to assist them take up training and employment opportunities. The service is tailored to meet individual needs and can include:
- One to one literacy tuition
- Group literacy tuition
- Referrals to other literacy organisations including:
- NALA
- Dublin City VEC
- Spelling Groups
- Basic Adult Education
Education Support Service will guide clients interested in finding out more about training and education. Our Education Officer will assist you in identifying what course is most suitable for you and work with you in locating this course and applying for a place. We hold a full listing of courses and training available, including day and night classes, full and part time courses. The service includes:
- One to one guidance and support in choosing the right course
- Information on courses available
- Support with course application forms
- Assistance with grant forms
- Help during and after the course
